Active Body, Stronger Mind
Our mental health is strongly connected to our physical health. How we treat our bodies can affect our minds. There are many ways to make our bodies and minds stronger, many of which are freely available.
- Go outside each day, even if just for a few minutes.
- Limit screen time and increase face-to-face interaction.
- Move your body in a healthy way–take a walk, dance in your living room, use stairs instead of the elevator, if you’re able.
- Drink water.
- Plan meals and cook more at home. United Way’s Shared Plates Cookbook offers simple, budget-friendly recipes to nourish your appetite and your wallet.
The Hall County School System annually compiles a community resource guide with information on local agencies and their services. If you or someone you know needs assistance, we encourage you to review the guide and explore available options. You are not alone. Help is available in our community.
