Mental Wellbeing Resources for Hall County

Through United Way of Hall County’s Community Game Plan, which was the culmination of years of research of Hall County’s greatest needs, one of the largest needs identified was raising awareness and resources for mental health. Northeast Georgia Health System had also recently identified through its Community Health Needs Assessment that mental and behavioral health would need to be one of the region’s top health priorities. From this knowledge and based on information gained from listening sessions throughout our community, a collaborative subcommittee of the United Way of Hall County’s Health Committee was formed: The Mental and Behavioral Health (MBH) Committee.

Imagine a community where mental health needs are recognized and treated and access to mental health services is increased. That’s the community we are building.

Our Priority Areas

Raising awareness of and resources for mental health is our region’s top health priority. It takes us all coming together with a unified approach to recognize and treat the behavioral health needs of people where and when they need care.

Our Health Committee

Our health committee members represent local professionals and community leaders working to set community-wide goals and strategies to promote well-being in the community. Educating the Hall County community on the importance of mental wellbeing is essential to breaking negative stigmas and stereotypes while encouraging sustainable solutions at a community level.
